The annual Golden Globe Awards were held on February 28

Los Angeles and New York held 78. Golden Globe Awards ceremony of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). Because of the pandemic, awards were held simultaneously in two cities on the West and East Coasts of the United States. Traditionally, the ceremony takes place in early January, but this year it was decided to postpone the event for almost two months. The hosts were Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. This year, the red carpet was also decided to hold in two formats: online and classic. The award was held through the city of zom - as part of the post-300s, all the Golden Globe nominees of the year remained at home.

The main winners of the evening were the drama "Land of Nomads" and the comedy "Borat 2". Both films were recognized as the best in their categories and received two statuettes. In addition to them, two awards were awarded to the cartoon "Soul."

The award for directing was presented by Chloe zhao ("Land of the Nomads"), and for the screenplay - Aaron Sorkin ("The Trial of the Chicago Seven"). The American drama "Minari" was named the best foreign language film.

The best actors this year were Sacha Baron Cohen ("Borat 2"), Andra Day ("United States vs. Billie Holiday") and Rosamund Pike ("The Scammer"). They were also posthumously awarded to Chadwick Bowsman for his role in the musical drama Ma Rainey: The Mother of the Blues.

Among the series the record holder was "The Crown", which received four statuettes. Shitts Creek and the queen's hoda have two Golden Globes each.
