The day of oil and gas industry

Description

In the 60-ies of the last century in USSR celebrated 100 years of operation of the oil and gas industry. At the same time, were confirmed by the huge deposits of oil and gas in Western Siberia. Thus began their massive prey.

In the year 1980 was adopted by Decree on the celebration of the day of employees of the oil and gas industry in the first Sunday of September.

Who celebrates this holiday

Oil and gas extraction is the work of many people of different professions. It's the geologists, Drillers, developers, technologists, builders and all those who, through their hard labor provides country such necessary minerals.

Where else is noted

In addition to Russia, the first Sunday of September is the holiday and for workers in the oil and gas industry of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine.

The tradition of celebrating

Given the important role of this industry in the industrial life of the country, the oil and gas industry not only congratulate their colleagues and superiors. With a Salutatory word they are accessed by the Minister and the President.

This day honors the industry's best employees, awarded their diplomas and medals. Many cities are undergoing large concerts with participation of stars of Russian stage, which ends with festive Fireworks.
