International day of the deaf

This day is celebrated around the world on the initiative of the UN in the last Sunday of September, in honor of the institution in the year 1951 the International Federation of the deaf.

A huge contribution to the development of sign language made General Secretary of the World Union of the deaf Magicians, Simon Carmel. Carmel a long time studying the life and culture of deaf people in different countries of the world and is fluent in sign language. He is also the author of a book titled "the international manual alphabet of the deaf", which describes the 43 daktilnyh alphabet used in 59 countries around the world.
