Youth day

10 November is held celebrating World Youth Day. This is an unofficial International Festival uniting active youth and various youth movements worldwide.

The founder of the feast- Day of youth was the World Federation of Democratic Youth, formed in 1945 year. Objective of the organization is to unite and strengthen international relations, despite the religious, political and racial relations. The Conference, which gathered in the year 1945 the representatives of youth movements from around the world, was the beginning of the celebration of 10 November, as world youth day.

Since then this day worldwide hosts a variety of events and activities whose purpose is to fight for peace, equality and protection of the rights of young people, as well as the opposition of fascism, colonialism and neofashizmu and neokolonializmu.

Russia also has not remained on the sidelines of the youth movement. She twice became the Centre of international events. For the first time this has happened in the year 1957, when parties to the VIMezhdunarodnogo Festival of youth and students have visitors from 131 countries around the world, and the second time in 1985, the year when the capital hosted guests XII Festival from 157 countries.

And today this day continues to combine youth gathering every year numerous actions and rallies. The ranks of the youth movement continued to replenish the younger generation.
