International day of disabled persons

To focus attention on the problems of persons with disabilities, the UN General Assembly in 1992 year announced 3 December international day of disabled persons. Just in anticipation of this date ended Decade of disabled persons, 1983 with the UN year. For these 10 years was accepted by most of the international instruments relating to the advancement of persons with disabilities in all countries.

December 3 around the world held special events to forget about many issues of people with disabilities. However, the main purpose of this holiday does not arouse pity for these people, but rather recalled that persons with disabilities are on a par with all members of society. It should not be forgotten that disabled people need social protection and assistance.

3 December organises various concerts and meetings, reminding that the disabled need a full life. People with disabilities need to be the same as us. And remember this more often and better-try to influence the situation.
