Day for tolerance, celebrated throughout the world thanks to the General Assembly with such a proposal it made December 12, 1996 year. The decision was linked to the UN Year on tolerance, in 1995 year. 16 November 1995 year the countries of UNESCO, signed the Declaration of principles on tolerance, as well as the programme of action for activities in a given year. In 2005 year, appeared the outcome document adopted by the World Summit, where abstracts were identified for action States in the world: to improve people's living conditions, respect freedom, promote respect, tolerance and dialogue between peoples.
The Declaration of tolerance that everyone is different, but all are equal in rights and virtues. The document called for tolerance, respect, understanding and, of course, the adoption of a diversity of cultures, ways of being of individuality, forms of expression. At the State level, tolerance is a fair law, respect for all the rights and norms. Tolerance is to provide every inhabitant of the planet opportunities for social and economic development, without any kind of discrimination.
Tolerance is one of the fundamental human rights and freedoms, they are described in laws and international declarations.
