The history of the Olympic movement is rooted in the deep past. The first recorded Olympic Games in 776 g. BC at the time they were so important that warring States stop their conflicts, to pay tribute to this ceremony.

Since that year has passed already more than thirty of the Olympics. And only three times for 110 years (1916, 1940, and 1944) games were not held due to the war. Many athletes have shown remarkable results over the past years, conquered hundreds of cups and medals. The movement gained strength with each delivery of the games. But only in the year 1967 the International Olympic Committee announced the establishment of 23 June, the International Olympic day. Olympic champions is the sport heritage of any country. Education of young people in a spirit of mutual understanding through sport to further strengthen peace is the goal of the Olympic movement.

Be a member, or better yet, the winner of the Olympic Games, every athlete dreams of.

Fizkulturniki around the world remain loyal to this appeal. And actively promote the Olympic movement. In Russia this propaganda is especially strong now. Because very soon the Olympics will come to our land. Not that become a winner, visit the it-today the dream of every athlete, Russia.
