World Youth Day

This is not very well known in Russia the holiday was established at the World Youth Conference, held in London during the period from 29 October to 10 November. It is expiration date and became World Youth Day, as well as the day of the founding of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY). The goal, it is quite good bets: the struggle for peace, the rights of young people, against neo-colonialism, racism and fascism.

How to celebrate World Youth Day?

In principle, it is believed that the major festive event, which organizes the WFDY is the World Festival of youth and students. Russia (or more precisely, Soviet Union) hosted it twice: in the year 1957 and 1985 year take in the year 2017 during the period from 14 to 22 October in Moscow and Sochi. In its programme:

• Parade-Carnival;
• opening ceremony;
• discussion program;
• cultural program;
• sports program;
• closing ceremony.

As regards this holiday, like world youth day, it is celebrated much less scale. Youth organizations of our country organize 10 November the various formal and informal activities, themed conferences and meetings.
