The interpreter day

The first priority of any State is to take care of its citizens, without exceptions and limitations. But, unfortunately, in our country are not heard nearly 13 million people. I'm talking about hard of hearing and deaf people. Every day they have to daily life meet with others, to attend educational institutions, hospitals, shops. How could they be? Interests of citizens must be protected by a highly skilled expert-translator, which we have so far only three thousand deaf. Translator is the only means of communication with the world of the deaf person sounds and music is the mediator between him and society, a kind of bridge that connects it and the world. In the West of the profession of translator gestures are considered very prestigious and extremely well-paid. Usually, one translator specializes in a specific area of language and all life is improved in their chosen profession. Interestingly, in some countries sign language is considered to be the second State.

The first sign language interpreters in Russia appeared in the times of Empress Maria fedorovna, then blind in the Soviet Union. But, as we can see, at the moment the situation with experts in the field is extremely bad. They are sorely lacking. The Government of our State is constantly working to improve the prestige of the profession, the interpreter opens the special educational institutions for the training of qualified specialists.

And in the year 2003 31 October celebration of the interpreter was introduced.

The State has set itself for the purpose of improving the lives of deaf people, it should facilitate their adaptation and comfortable coexistence with others. You want a man with impaired hearing in any situation can hear, understand and help.

And, of course, in this difficult task, all hope of a good sign.
